1. Educational service
Canning Vault provides educational content, organizational tools, links to third-party authorities, and product information. It is not a laboratory, government or university extension service, medical provider, emergency service, or substitute for the current controlling instructions from a research-based canning authority.
2. Food-safety responsibility
Home canning carries risks if a method, formulation, jar, pack style, headspace, process, time, or elevation adjustment is incorrect. You are responsible for confirming that a current tested recipe is appropriate for your food, equipment, jar size, and elevation; following it completely; and stopping when instructions conflict or conditions are uncertain. Review the canning safety page before relying on website tools.
3. Permitted use
You may use the website for lawful personal and informational purposes. Do not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, misrepresent Canning Vault content, use automated methods that unreasonably burden the site, or republish substantial portions of the library as your own product or database.
4. Content and intellectual property
The Canning Vault name, visual design, original organization, explanatory text, software, and other original materials are owned by Cedar Ridge Ventures LLC or used with permission. Third-party recipe authorities, product names, trademarks, and linked materials remain the property of their respective owners. A source link does not transfer ownership of the source material to Canning Vault.
5. Third-party services and commercial links
The website links to research authorities, Google Play, retailers, advertisers, and other third parties. Their content, availability, pricing, privacy practices, and terms are outside our control. Advertising is labeled, and qualifying affiliate relationships are disclosed under the affiliate disclosure.
6. Availability and changes
We may correct, update, withhold, reorganize, or remove content and may change or discontinue website features. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent availability of any recipe or external source, or compatibility with every browser, device, or assistive technology.
7. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free content, fitness for a particular purpose, or a particular result. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cedar Ridge Ventures LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the website, reliance on a third-party source, or a user's departure from controlling safety instructions. Applicable law may provide rights that differ from this section.
