1. Overview
“Canning Vault,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Canning Vault and Cedar Ridge Ventures LLC. The website is a public educational and product-information service. The Android application is designed as a local-first personal companion.
2. Website information
The website does not currently provide user accounts, cloud recipe storage, a contact form, or third-party audience analytics. Recipe and FAQ searches and the interactive tools operate in the page and are not intentionally submitted to Canning Vault.
Our hosting, delivery, and security providers may automatically process ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested page, timestamp, and security or request logs. That information may be used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain security.
3. Email communications
We receive an email address and the information included in a message only when someone voluntarily contacts us. Messages may be kept as reasonably needed to answer the request, document a correction, protect the service, or satisfy applicable obligations. Do not send sensitive personal information or a Canning Vault backup unless support specifically requests it.
5. Local-first app data and backups
Personal recipes, favorites, pantry and batch records, shopping-list information, achievements, notes, settings, and similar app information are designed to remain on the user's device. This version of Canning Vault does not operate a Cedar Ridge Ventures cloud-account system that synchronizes personal Vault information.
Users may voluntarily export a backup and choose where to save or share it. Cedar Ridge Ventures does not control a third-party storage or sharing destination selected by the user. Removing the app, clearing storage, losing or resetting the device may remove locally stored information unless a usable backup exists.
6. App advertising and purchases
The Android app uses Google AdMob for banner and optional user-started rewarded ads. Google and its advertising partners may process device identifiers, network-derived approximate location, advertising information, app interactions, diagnostics, and consent choices to deliver, measure, and protect advertising. Where required, Google's consent form is presented before ads are requested. Active lifetime or temporary ad-free access stops the app from requesting ads.
Lifetime ad removal is processed by Google Play. Cedar Ridge Ventures receives the purchase status needed to unlock or restore the feature but does not directly receive or store complete payment-card details. Google Play's terms and privacy policy apply to its processing.
7. External and affiliate links
Recipe sources, Google Play, product recommendations, and other external links lead to services with their own privacy practices. A destination may receive ordinary request information when a link is followed. Some clearly identified product links may be affiliate links; see the affiliate disclosure.
8. Choices and requests
Browser settings can control cookies and site storage. Device permissions, app storage, backups, advertising choices, and operating-system privacy settings can be managed through the applicable device or platform. Depending on location and applicable law, additional access, correction, deletion, or opt-out rights may apply.
Privacy questions or requests may be sent to admin@cedarridgeventuresllc.com. We may need enough information to understand and appropriately respond to a request.
9. Children
Canning Vault is intended for a general audience interested in home canning, organization, and casual activities. It is not directed to children for the purpose of collecting personal information. Children should use the service with a parent or guardian where appropriate.
10. Security, retention, and changes
We use reasonable measures intended to protect the service and information, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Information is kept only as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, security, dispute handling, or applicable obligations.
We may update this policy as the website, app, service providers, advertising, or legal requirements change. The current version will remain posted here with its effective date.
