  • 12 lb firm ripe berries per 7 quarts
  • Water, berry juice, or USDA syrup

  1. 01

    Wash 1–2 quarts at a time; drain and remove stems or hulls.

  2. 02

    For hot pack, heat berries in boiling syrup 30 seconds and fill jars. For raw pack, fill jars and cover with hot liquid. Leave ½-inch headspace.

  3. 03

    In a boiling-water canner, process pints 15 minutes or quarts 20 minutes.
